Due to the paradise island of Mauritius’ location so close to the equator, the country only experiences two seasons: summer and winter. Even in winter temperatures never drop below 21 degrees celsius. This calendar-style infographic helps you decide when to visit and what are the best times to take part in local events and activities.

This piece shows the monthly highlights and average temperatures of Mauritius over the course of a year with the purpose of recommending the best time to visit. There's some effective use of color to indicate season shifts, and the temperatures accompanied by an icon help to create a visual system for the reader. However, much of the information is communicated in the copy, so a reader would have to thoroughly read the piece in order to understand any distinctions between the months. Larger illustrations are scattered across the calendar—while these do connect specifically to the information for particular months, icons might better align the illustration to its associated copy. There's a lot of great information here, but a reader has to dig to find it, so we'd give this a D.
