Wet vs Dry Dog Food

Having a healthy dog means being an expert in different types of food. Though many even experienced owners often cannot choose between dry and canned diets. The advantages of ready-made food do not depend on whether it is wet or dry. The main thing is the composition of the product. You can’t really make a conclusion that all dry foods are better than wet ones. Both have their advantages which are featured on the infographic from ThePets. Besides, remember the unique preferences of your dog.

Dry Food
Balanced nutrition should contain all the needed microelements, nutrients, and macronutrients, fiber, and vitamins. Most dry food diets that are available at the store are full-fledged in their composition. They often are the right choice for the dog’s main menu. Qualitative dry food consisting mostly of different animal protein sources is obviously more nutritious than some canned foods that contain no protein or a small amount.

Wet Food
This type can be kept in jars or canned with big pieces of meat, which can be more suitable for dogs. This is a bright idea — a product with a natural moisture content smells more vigorous, and dogs instinctively recognize wet food as more natural. Therefore, they rarely need to be encouraged to eat wet food.

It is critical to calculating the amount of food correctly to give your dog to avoid loss of weight or obesity. Dog obesity causes poor health conditions, some of which can be very serious, so controlling food intake is essential for a responsible dog owner.
Optimal nutrition is the basis of your pet’s health and wellness, and you need to plan your diet with proper responsibility. Each owner will be able to make feeding in a comfortable way and of benefit to the pet.

Final Grade

With a consistent illustration style and vibrant colors, this infographic is fun to look through. An illustration is included for every discussion point, with plenty of dog illustrations throughout the rest of the design. However, usability could be improved in a few ways. The full-size width of the design is over 2500 pixels wide, which is too wide for viewing on most devices. Reducing it to around 1000 pixels wide lets viewers navigate the design more easily. The body copy is also quite small and is presented in paragraph format, which means the viewer needs to read full sentences to get the information. Shorter bullet points could communicate the same information and provide a faster viewing experience. That said, the information is well organized and this has many qualities of a good infographic. In all we'd give this a B.
