This Hamletian dilemma goes through every student’ s mind. Let’ s face it: homework is a dreaded word. Nagging parents, overbearing teachers, while all you want is to get some time for yourself, and spend it on something productive ( and homework is the last thing on your mind). Finland is the country of your dreams because you have heard that they do not have homework, and their students still come out with the best results on PISA tests, while their graduation rate is at towering 93%. You spend hours arguing with your parents and pointing to the fact that Einstein was a sloppy student who even failed at high school (sorry to hear your favorite argument apart, but that is just a myth).

So, should you do your homework? Some good news for you: according to research, you should not do too much homework. Recent research shows that excessive homework workload for kids in elementary school can be „ detrimental to their attitude about school, their grades, their self-confidence, their social skills and their quality of life“. And what about high school students? Their health is also affected by too much homework as research conducted at Stanford university found that students who are overburdened with homework experience „ more stress, physical health problems, a lack of balance in their lives, and alienation from society“. Now you have enough scientific evidence to use in your homework quarrels with parents.

But what should you do when overbearing teachers (out of touch with the latest research) give you more homework than you can handle, thus putting your health in jeopardy? Luckily, online homework help provided by trained professionals can help you get that boring homework done, and leave you a plenty of time for other school subjects that you are really interested in.

Final Grade

This infographic offers some quotes from celebrities on the topic of homework. As such, it's hard to grade for content, but I suppose the piece has achieved what it set out to achieve — so, high marks. The design is clean and nicely incorporates photographs, and the layout is easy to navigate. The only area where this infographic falters is visual communication. Including photos of the quoted celebrities doesn't communicate much visually. This is a nice piece, one that's well executed, but when considered as a true infographic, it's lacking. Given everything, we'd give this one a C.
