I compiled this report by comparing pre and post lockdown search volumes for a range of keywords to illustrate the exponential growth of online searches in Australia. Final Grade
This timely design explores the search volume impact of lockdown on common industries across Australia. The visual cue of red numbers for decreases and blue numbers for increases helps the viewer see at a glance how each term was impacted. The inclusion of data visualization could help show the impact relative to other search terms, but the icons and symbols used to represent each search term are another good way to incorporate visual communication. The layout is clear and easy to navigate, and the color palette and illustration style remain consistent. However, there are quite a few large text blocks, which the eye wants to skip over to find more imagery. Consider paring paragraphs down to single sentences and/or bullet points for ease of use. In addition, nothing visually indicates the lockdown, which is the main subject of the design. In all we'd give this a B.
