This is an infographic about the NJ texting and driving laws and penalties, BUT really, I want to get this message out in front of young people that think they’re “good at driving while texting”. Seeing people stare at their phone while doing 60mph drives me nuts!

This infographic provides some information and data on the dangers of texting and driving. The icons supporting the data are very connected to their associated points. While the icon style and color palette are fairly consistent, this approach also misses some opportunities for effective data visualization. The content is concise and focused on the narrative, though bias does appear in the copy, calling the audience into question. The sources included creates a helpful foundation of credibility for the data. The subheads do help to introduce the information, though they still require the reader to fully read the stats in order to have a full sense of the narrative. Overall, this piece has some helpful information. It could just benefit from some visual and narrative shifts to be as persuasive as possible. We'd give this a D.
