The design uses a good amount of data visualization and features a great illustration of a typical contemporary home. Text is kept minimal throughout and the introduction of a yellow background mid-way through keeps things interesting.
It could be fun to switch up the type of data viz used, in the main section, instead of sticking to all pie charts. While one bar graph is used at the beginning of the infographic, stacked bar graphs or donut charts could also be employed, or even using the silhouette of a house and filling it proportionally according to the stat.
It would also be great to have a bit of an introduction and conclusion on the infographic: let the readers know what they’re about to see and sum up what they’ve learned/put a call-to-action. While the site has an introduction on the webpage itself, if a viewer were to share the infographic, the context of the intro wouldn’t come along with it.
In all, I’d give this infographic a B+. It’s definitely got the right idea, but a bit more variety in data viz could make it even a bit more engaging!
