A lot of young adults wait until it’s too late to start thinking about retirement. The sooner you start saving, the more you’ll be able to save and the sooner you’ll be able to retire. One of the biggest questions most people face is: how much do I need to retire?

This infographic discusses thoughts and facts on retirement. The subject is fairly visually clear, starting with an image of a happy older couple at home and moving on to images of younger people in suits. Graphs are used to show the statistics. It can be a bit misleading to end your graph at the highest number in your number set versus the highest possible number (in the cases of these graphs, 100%), but the labeled y-axes help a bit to explain the limitations of the graph. One thing that could help the visual communication is to ensure the illustrations for individual data points refer to the specific statistic rather than the theme as a whole — for example, the "Who Has Saved Enough?" section shows people of each age group, but doesn't visually reference their lack of savings. In all we'd give this a B.
