This infographic offers up a brief history of the office-space phenomenon that we all know—but don't know much about. Visual communication credentials are somewhat lacking when it comes to the header image, which could do more work in immediately communicating the topic of the infographic in a visual way. The later photographs do communicate the topic efficiently, however. The infographic lacks an overarching design style, combining color and black-and-white photographs with a line drawing. The hierarchy of text is also a bit confusing, with the text for the years almost the same size as the text underneath them—but not quite. Overall, the infographic is very text- and sentence-heavy, and feels more like a reading assignment than a piece of visual communication. Overall, we'd give this infographic an F.
