This infographic illustrates the many different food types and allergies out there. How different is a vegan compared to a vegetarian? What’s a gluten free diet? How do I tell the difference between free range and organic food sources? This guide is also useful for restaurants that are designing their menus to reflect and respect the modern food trend.

This infographic discusses food allergies, intolerances, and conscious choices, outlining the basics of each and what foods they can and cannot eat. It's highly visual, allowing for easy skimming and improved understanding of content and subject matter. The color cues of the prohibited (red X) and allowed (green check) foods in each category are a great example of visual communication without text. Some of the blocks of text are a bit longer than recommended — full sentences aren't necessary when shorter phrases will do — but the icon labels are right on par. In all we'd give this a B.
