What is a carport?
Carport literally means a covered portal, the French term is known as ‘Porte Cochere’. Carport provides quality protection and cover to vehicles from the natural elements such as sun, rain, dust, wind and snow. Carports have at least two open sides to it, unlike a garage that is walled on all three sides with one side open (door).
Types of carports

This infographic does a good job of clearly showing the subject at the start and throughout — carports. The styles used do vary throughout, though, from basic icons to 3D illustrations and photos, which can be distracting. Additionally, the script is grammatically awkward, but luckily the viewer can glean much of the information just from looking and reading the headers. I'd give this a C+ overall.
