Fast Cover wanted help educate travellers about the most common risks and dangers in Bali and how to avoid them, but found there was already so many health and safety articles on the web, we decided to design something a little different!
As well as being a bit silly and fun, it’s also packed with genuinely practical tips to help travellers stay safe, stay healthy and stay out of trouble in Indonesia.
Prepared travellers will navigate around the game board with ease, making smart moves like eating at reputable restaurants, avoiding ice cubes in drinks, and choosing safe activities like visiting an ethical elephant sanctuary and swimming at patrolled beaches.
But dangerous travellers beware! Making the wrong choices might land you in hospital, deported, or even behind bars in an Indonesian prison!
All games aside, these activities can result in much more serious consequences in the real world than just losing a couple of turns.
But make it safely around the board and you’ll have a good idea of what to do (and what not to do) to enjoy an amazing safe holiday in Bali.

This infographic is a board game showing different things that might happen while traveling Bali, and what the results could be. Most of the spaces have an icon to help explain what the text says. Since about half of the spaces are bad things that could happen, the result leaves the viewer a little disenchanted with the idea of visiting Bali, but given the infographic seems to advocate for travel insurance that might be part of the point. The design is pretty visual and informative, but it could be improved by standardizing the design style of all of the icons and illustrations to give it a cohesive look, and adding sources to verify the stats. In all we'd give this a C.
