A real estate agent does all the jobs that are involved in selling and buying a property. When dealing with a real estate agent, you need to know the following things:

1. Real estate agents want a done deal. Since they get paid after a deal is done, therefore, they will be looking for a client that is serious about making a deal. To be the first to receive the call when a property becomes available, make sure that the agent knows you are ready to go.
2. Beware of discounts and incentives. When real estate agents offer amazing discounts and incentives don’t be easily tempted. Some of these incentives and discounts are not ideal. If they are going to pay your stamp duty and moving costs, then it’s in the price which you’re going to pay for the next 25 years of your mortgage.
3. Get confirmation. Confirm every conversation you have with your agent. You need to show to them that you know what you are doing. You have to look like you’ve bought and sold a property before.
4. Proceed at your own time. Avoid any rush invitation to see a property or to join a bidding. You need to proceed in your own time in order to make the right decision.

Providing advice on how to work with estate agents, this infographic's content helps instill confidence in first-time homebuyers. It's clearly organized and the main points are communicated in headlines. However, the accompany photographs aren't always very illustrative of each specific point, and the overall topic of homes/estates isn't reinforced visually aside from the top of the infographic (and point 2). Additionally, some of the tips are pretty lengthy; others stay to a more manageable number of words for an infographic section. In all, we'd give this infographic a D.
