The term EGOT started to get very popular when Tracy Jordan on 30 Rock had a goal to reach this highly sought after achievement. The first person to ever reach EGOT status was composer Richard Rodgers, who completed the achievement in 1962 for scoring Winston Churchill: The Valiant Years. The last person to achieve EGOT status was actress and comedian, Whoopi Goldberg in 2002.
