Your dentist at Yaletown Dental will tell you that brushing is the first and most important step to preventing the build up of plaque and tartar and you must not disregard this point. By brushing twice a day – once during the day and once before sleeping, you help to remove food debris which could get lodged in your teeth. If left unchecked, it could lead to cavities and tooth decay. However, Canadians do have a sweet tooth as it has been revealed that about 96% of Canadian adults have cavities. Are you one of them?

This infographic offers tips on how to develop a healthier relationship with your teeth and gums. Written in a friendly, engaging tone, this infographic provides information without slathering it on the reader. The visuals greatly benefit this infographic; however, the visuals function as accents rather than pieces of communication. In fact, the graphics only depict scenes that correspond to the text; there is little visual communication present. The tips are organized in an effective way, but, in some instances, a reader has to search for the number of the point, rather than knowing exactly where the point may be in a sub-category. There are little tricks and tips here, like cutting back on text and using data visualization instead of illustrations, to help sharpen the message. As it currently stands, we'd give this a C.
