This infographic comes to us from NJ.com and showcases the Oscars throughout the years. Now I know that the Oscars are over, but the folks at NJ.com actually posted this infographic last week, it’s just been sitting in our submission cue since we had a heavy submission week last week. In other words, don’t ding them for this appearing after the Oscars, ding us.

Upon submitting this infographic, the folks at NJ.com had the following to say:

Ever wondered how an Oscar sizes up compared to a newborn baby, or which movie had the most wins (or snubs)?

If your answer to that question was “yes,” then this infographic is for you! Overall, the infographic is a bit wordy, but considering the topic, it’s hard to get away from that. To take the infographic to the next level, I suggest adding images of the actors and movies. I do love the time line, the section with the baby, and how the Oscar image is used like a bar graph. I also think that the large Oscar in the center adds a nice piece of eye candy to this infographic.

This infographic comes to us from NJ.com and features some unfortunate facts about bedbugs. A few months ago, we received a submission of a bedbugs infographic, but I must say that this one is far better, in that it actually looks like an infographic instead of something out of an old magazine. It’s unfortunate that a New Jersey focused site would have to put an infographic like this together, but it seems like the bedbug population has skyrocketed and is finding success in a plan to take over the world.

Upon submitting the infographic, NJ.com had the following to say:

The bedbug population is exploding across the country, and reports of outbreaks are instilling infestation paranoia. From cinemas to schools to apartment buildings, bedbugs are showing up all over the U.S., and particularly in hot spots like New York, New Jersey, Ohio, and Washington, D.C.

You may already know that bedbugs are incredibly difficult to get rid of, but how much do you really know about these pesky insects?

We dug into this nocturnal nuisance and are sharing what we learned in the infographic above.

One question I have: since when is Ohio a hot spot? I’m from Ohio, and there’s nothing “hot spot” about it… but now this infographic makes me afraid to go home for the holidays.

Overall, the infographic does a good job of making my skin crawl, as the title suggests it will. It has a really great flow to it, with a ruler at the top to show scale and a growing bedbug crawling down the page to make things even more creepy. All said and done, this is a disgusting infographic, which means it’s very good considering the topic.
