This infographic is one that we designed on behalf of MastersinEducation.org about Teach for America, why it is important, and it’s overall impact. Here are some interesting statistics from the infographic:

  • Many children in low-income communities are already three grade levels behind by the time they reach 4th grade.
  • Half the children in low-income communities will not graduate high school by the age of 18.
  • The number of regions where Teach for America works has tripled in the last decade.
  • A total of 19,989 kids have been reached by the Early Childhood Initiative, which was launched by Teach for America in 2006.

We cannot critique this infographic since it is one that we designed, but we would love to hear your thoughts. Let us know what you think! What do you love about it? What do you not?

  • There’s a typo in the operating budget section: “Teach for America’s operating budget has increased by almost 2,000% since 2010″ The year should be 2000.
